Call The Consultant and it's
employees have been providing software development services to other
companies for over fifteen years, using a wide variety of platforms
and languages.
For the last four years, projects have been focused on Client/Server,
Internet and Intranet environments, including both distributed enterprise
applications and backend server systems. Prior projects included
product planning websites, consumer information websites, client/server
call center applications and small business database solutions.
The
staff of Call The Consultant
includes individuals with a wide range of knowledge and skills,
but the fundamental skills emphasized are those needed for development
using the Microsoft products. These skills include extensive experience
with SQL Server, and the Visual Studio Suite, including Visual Basic,
Visual InterDev, Visual C++, and also the Microsoft Office Suite
of products, including advanced Automation and Visual Basic for
Applications coding within Access, Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
Win32
development, including Windows 95, 98, NT and 2000 platforms, is
a secondary skill set for the company. This includes a high degree
of familiarity all necessary development features of each platform,
as well as specific technologies associated with the Win32 platforms
such as the Win32 threaded mechanism, MTS, IIS and COM. This background
can often come in useful when transferring old client server based
applications into newer web technologies.
Call
The Consultant also features an extensive knowledge
of and experience with all forms of data interfacing, including
ODBC, ADO, RDO, DAO, and OLE-DB. This allows us to interface with
all manner of back end data sources in a variety of efficient manners.
On the design level, Call The Consultant
strongly believes in iterative development, refactoring, and the
application of design patterns in projects, and considers a familiarity
with these approaches to be essential for all development personnel.
